Even in frontline Kherson, there should be room for children's laughter, dressing up and fun adventures. At our children's hubs, kids celebrated Halloween by putting on costumes, getting creative with colourful face paint, playing games and spending time together.
Events like these help children take a break, even if only for a little while, from the anxiety of everyday life, feel supported by their peers and simply enjoy the celebration.
“I liked that we were all wearing costumes and could play together. I wish there were more fun days like this,” said Maksym, one of the participants.

Childhood should not be reduced to waiting for more peaceful times. Children need new experiences, friendships and opportunities to enjoy carefree moments, despite the circumstances in which they are growing up.
That is why the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, in partnership with UNICEF, supports the work of children's hubs, where children and their parents can take part in shared activities, connect with others and receive psychosocial support.
