More than six months without the possibility of delivering humanitarian aid. And finally, an opportunity to reach those who need it most.
A brief lull in hostilities in Kherson made it possible to deliver assistance to residents of the Ostriv neighbourhood — one of the most challenging areas of the city in terms of humanitarian needs.
There are no functioning shops in Ostriv, access to essential utilities is severely limited, and the security situation makes delivering aid there extremely difficult. Despite the danger, people continue to live in their homes and need food and other essential supplies.

The Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), delivered 300 emergency food kits — ready-to-eat meals — to residents of the neighbourhood.
The delivery was made possible thanks to a brief window of opportunity.

Kherson remains under the constant threat of shelling. Yet even in these conditions, it is vital to continue supporting people who remain in their homes despite the danger.
