In Derhachi, Kharkiv region, the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation has introduced a new format for providing humanitarian assistance in cooperation with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and UNICEF.
From now on, families with children can receive food packages from WFP and hygiene kits from UNICEF at the same time.
Derhachi is located approximately 20 kilometres from the frontline. For local residents living under constant threat, this kind of support remains essential.

“This is a great help for us, especially now. We need food every day, and we also have to regularly buy hygiene products for our children. It is good that now we can receive everything in one place. We are very grateful for this support,” says Olena, a Derhachi resident.

Representatives of international organisations also joined the event, including Richard Reagan, WFP Country Director in Ukraine.
The joint efforts of humanitarian organisations help ensure better coordination of assistance and make support more accessible to those who need it.
