A New Water Tower for the Vysochanska Community
The Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation together with its partner UNICEF helped solve the issue of stable water supply in the Vysochanska community of the Kharkiv region by implementing a project to install a new water tower.
Oleh Troyno, Deputy Head of Vysochanska Settlement Council for Housing and Communal Services, explained that the old tower had become unfit for operation and frequently broke down, as this part of the settlement had been under constant shelling by Russian forces using various types of weapons in 2022. The situation was becoming increasingly critical — the entire settlement was at risk of being left without water.
Thanks to the project implemented by the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Foundation and UNICEF, this problem was successfully resolved.
“This water tower is crucial for stabilizing the pressure in the water supply system of the village of Vysoke, home to over 20,000 people, including internally displaced persons,” added Oleh Troyno.
Vysochanska Settlement Head Oleksandr Moroz noted that the community’s budget did not allow them to install new towers on their own.
“On behalf of the entire community, I would like to express my gratitude for this support, as it was extremely important for us,” said the Head of the Settlement.
We continue working to ensure people have access to water.
