In Kherson and the Kherson region, seven child-friendly spaces continue to operate, implemented by the charitable foundation the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation in partnership with UNICEF. Five of them are located in Kherson, while two more are in the villages of Chornobaivka and Lymanets.

In a region that is under daily shelling, children especially need a place where they can feel safe, interact with peers, learn, and develop. Child-friendly hubs provide exactly this kind of opportunity.

Here, children take part in creative, sports, and dance activities, work with speech therapists and psychologists, engage in art therapy, informational sessions, and mine safety lessons. Each activity is designed not only to build skills but also to support children’s emotional well-being.

For many families, these spaces have become a source of support and stability, where children can spend time meaningfully, make friends, and briefly return to a sense of normal childhood.
