We stand alongside those who defend, rescue, and rebuild. War leaves its mark not only on the map but also within us. And this is something we can and should work through.
The Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, has launched the “Back to Life” project, which provides psychological support to veterans and their family members.
Our psychologists have already reached out across our beloved hero city of Kharkiv and begun working with the following institutions and organisations:
- Kharkiv Regional Branch of the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities
- Municipal Institution “Veteran Centre of Kharkiv” of the Kharkiv City Council
- NGO “PATRIOTS 1654”
- Vovchansk City Territorial Community
- Municipal Institution “Veteran Space ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’” of the Kharkiv Regional Council

What challenges do people turn to us for support with?
- Insomnia
- Fears and anxiety
- PTSD and complex PTSD (CPTSD)
- Loss of meaning and purpose
- Questions about how to start living again
- Grief after the loss of a loved one
You don’t have to face everything alone. Asking for help is not a weakness — it is a sign of strength.
