We work

‍

Tonight, another Russian drone attack on Kharkiv damaged civilian infrastructure. Among the damaged property were vehicles belonging to the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, which are used to deliver humanitarian aid.

This is another instance of how the war directly affects the work of humanitarian organizations. The vehicles we rely on to deliver assistance to people are also at risk.

The Geneva Conventions and the principles of international humanitarian law provide for the protection of civilians and civilian objects. Humanitarian workers, organizations, and their property used for civilian humanitarian purposes must be protected from attacks.

Humanitarian work must never become a target. Behind every damaged vehicle are the efforts of our team and the assistance that people in need depend on.

Despite everything, we continue our work and support communities that suffer from the consequences of the war every day.
