Representatives of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation participated in training within the national program “She is a Deminer,” aimed at developing professional skills in the field of humanitarian demining.
The participants completed a course in non-technical survey — one of the key stages of mine action. During the training, they learned approaches to collecting and analyzing information about potentially hazardous areas, engaging with communities, and preparing data for further work of demining specialists.
Strengthening expertise in humanitarian demining is an important step toward improving community safety and ensuring an effective response to the challenges related to the consequences of war.
The “She is a Deminer” program is implemented by the NGO “Association of Sappers of Ukraine” and the NGO “Girls,” in partnership with UN Women in Ukraine, and with the support of the governments of Canada and Croatia.
