Kherson Housing Recovery
The Kherson team of the charitable foundation Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv is helping restore homes damaged by enemy shelling. Over the past week, our construction workers have "saved" around twenty houses. The main tasks include emergency conservation, roof repairs, and boarding up windows.
Work took place in Kherson and nearby villages. In the regional center, our builders assisted residents on the following streets: Perekopska, Starostina, Ladychuka, Mykhailivska, Tserkovna, Lyvarna, Lisova, Pylypa Orlyka, Kremenchutska, Kyivska, Staromlynna, and Hrushevskoho.
They also traveled to the villages of Blahovishchenske, Kamyshany, and Zelenivka.
As a reminder, in the Kherson region, our foundation is implementing a new project focused on emergency conservation and housing restoration in affected communities. This initiative is funded by the Ukrainian NGO Fund of the National Network for the Development of Local Philanthropy and supported by the Disasters Emergency Committee and the Start Network.
We recently received the first batch of construction materials.

"We're already actively working in this direction. A team of 12 people is involved, and 12 houses have been repaired so far. People reach out either through the city military administration or our hotline. Word of mouth also works well," says Oleksii Bezhan, Head of the Kherson branch of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv charitable foundation.
