The cold season brings its own challenges, especially for families living in communities affected by the war. Damaged homes, insufficient insulation, and limited access to essential resources make preparing for winter particularly important.
The Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation has launched a project to provide vulnerable households in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions with high-quality wood fuel briquettes.
Targeted assistance is provided to the most vulnerable families, including people aged 60+, persons with disabilities, families with children, including large families, single-parent households, internally displaced persons, as well as families living in damaged or inadequately insulated homes.
Each household is provided with 3.5 tonnes of fuel briquettes.
The distribution of assistance has already begun, with fuel briquettes being delivered directly to families as part of the project.
The assistance is provided by the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation in cooperation with the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need, with financial support from the United States Government, as part of the implementation of the “DOVIRA” project.
