On May 21, the DCA-NCA team in Mykolaiv, together with a delegation from EUNABO and the Embassy of Denmark, visited partner organizations and project implementation sites within the Danida UTP programme.
One of the key parts of the visit was the handover of an ambulance to the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation to support the humanitarian demining direction. The vehicle will strengthen the capacity for rapid response and the work of demining teams in field conditions.
The Head of the Foundation, Oleksii Bezhan, emphasized:
“For us, this is truly a big and important day. This is not only about the transfer of ambulances. It is about trust, partnership, and friendly relations.”
The Head of the DCA-NCA Representation in Ukraine, Peter Bo Larsen, noted:
“This is an important step forward and, in fact, the beginning of official cooperation.”

Within the framework of the new project, the team will undergo training and preparation to work in humanitarian demining in accordance with international standards.
In addition to the ambulance, additional equipment was also handed over for field operations — first aid kits, shonsters (specialized metal detectors for detecting explosive ordnance), as well as personal protective equipment (PPE) and other essential items to ensure the safety and efficiency of demining teams in the field.
