Building restoration: 16 missions in august

In August, the Rapid Response Team of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, with the support of Diaconia, carried out 16 missions, including both emergency responses to strike sites and planned restoration works. During this time, we sealed 280 window and door openings and restored three roofs with a total area of 280 m².

Behind these numbers are people’s lives: we helped 63 families feel safe in their homes again, took care of two administrative buildings where communities continue to live and work, and restored two educational institutions so that children could return to learning in safer conditions.

This month, we worked in Kharkiv, Izium, Bezzmetezhne, Slobozhanske, Shevchenkove, Lozova, and Balakliia. Each mission is a small step toward helping communities affected by shelling regain their sense of home and hope.
