8 bathrooms for the dormitory provided by Oxfam
The capital renovation of 8 bathrooms in a dormitory for internally displaced persons was carried out by the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation in partnership with the international organization Oxfam. The dormitory, located in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, is currently home to 440 people, including 113 children and 46 persons with disabilities.
Residents now have significantly more comfortable living conditions, as the bathrooms have not only been renovated but also adapted for people with limited mobility. Handrails, special seating, and widened doorways have been installed.
People are grateful for the improved living and household conditions.
"Now everything is very nice and safe to use. There are many children and elderly people living in our dormitory. Thank you for these changes," says Nadia, a dormitory resident who relocated from the Kupiansk district.
We continue working to make people’s lives more comfortable.
