"Three Years Together": our Foundation’s Anniversary
From the first urgent decisions to the systemic support of thousands of people in the most vulnerable regions – over the past three years, the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation has scaled its operations and now works in several front-line regions. More than UAH 157 million in aid raised, over 35 projects across different areas of activity, and over 33 partners – these are the brief results of the three-year journey.
At the anniversary gathering in Kharkiv, the discussion centered on the people who help and those who receive help, the culture of charity, international partnerships, and future plans.
“During this time, our team has come a long way — from the first urgent decisions to systemic support for thousands of people in the most vulnerable regions. This day is not only about summarizing our work, but also about gratitude: for the trust, for the partnership, and for the resilience of everyone who stood with us during the most difficult moments,” said Serhii Chubukov, Deputy Director of Executive Operations of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation.
The Foundation's work was highly praised by both government representatives and partner organizations.
“Despite systematic shelling by Russian occupiers, the volunteers of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation continued helping people. The area of rapid response to Russian attacks, addressing the consequences of strikes, repairs, and assistance to residents within 0 to 10 km of the front line deserves special attention. We are grateful for the tireless work, provide full support, and wish sustainable growth,” said Yevhen Ivanov, Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Jonas Losau, Head of the WFP Program Office in Dnipro, emphasized that it is crucial for aid to be provided not through large international organizations, but through local foundations that work on the ground and understand the real needs of people. He also noted the Foundation’s progress — the growth in the number and quality of projects.
The Foundation was also congratulated by representatives of other partner organizations, including IRC, Oxfam, Helvetas, East SOS, People in Need, and NRC.
As part of the event, the film “Three Years Together” and the book “Faces of the Peaceful Heaven”, featuring stories of volunteers and aid recipients, were presented.
