Access to psychological and social support remains limited in frontline communities of Kherson Oblast. To ensure that children and families can receive the assistance they need, the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, in partnership with UNICEF, supports the work of a mobile team of specialists who regularly visit these communities.
Last week, the specialists met with children in the village of Novohryhorivske, Kherson Oblast. Through creative activities, games and conversations, children had an opportunity to express their emotions, take a break from everyday worries and spend time in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
One of the activities involved decorating tote bags, giving children an opportunity to express themselves creatively and interact with their peers.
“We had a great time: we painted, played games and talked a lot. I really enjoyed it,” said Andrii, one of the participants.
The mobile team's work goes beyond individual activities. Specialists provide psychosocial support to children and help families facing difficult circumstances access the assistance and guidance they need.
Timely support helps children better cope with their emotions and experiences, while ensuring that families do not have to face their challenges alone.
