The Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, in partnership with JERU, is implementing a project aimed at restoring social and financial resilience in communities affected by the war.
In Kharkiv, retraining courses are ongoing, where participants acquire new professional skills in the fields of hairdressing and manicure services. The training helps people who have lost their jobs or the ability to work in their previous professions to master in-demand skills and rebuild their lives.

The goal of the program is to support communities, strengthen economic resilience, and give people the opportunity to look confidently into the future by opening new paths to employment.
“At the moment, these courses are very important because they provide an opportunity for additional income. You can get a job at a hair salon or do express haircuts. This is in high demand since many specialists have gone abroad. These skills will be very useful in my life because I want to expand my knowledge and plan to continue studying after completing these courses,” — Olha, student of the hairdressing and manicure training courses.

Such initiatives not only provide people with new professions but also help them regain confidence and feel that even after losses, it is possible to start anew.
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and implemented by the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation in partnership with JERU.
