Recently, the information team of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation completed training in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) within the framework of the “She Is a Deminer” program.
During the course, participants worked with digital maps and spatial data, learned how to create and process information about surveyed areas, and support the planning of demining operations.

Geographic Information Systems are an essential tool in humanitarian demining, helping teams analyze territories more effectively, systematize data, and improve operational safety.
Upon completion of the training, the team received certificates confirming successful completion of the course.
The “She Is a Deminer” program is implemented by the Association of Sappers of Ukraine and the Girls NGO in cooperation with UN Women Ukraine, with financial support from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development of Canada and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia.
