The team of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, in partnership with UNICEF, delivered a mine safety awareness session in the village of Kobzivka, within the Natalyne Village Council. This was the first offline visit of this format for the local community.

“Our village is located far from active hostilities, but safety concerns affect everyone. Children are naturally drawn to bright objects, often forgetting about the risks. It is the responsibility of adults to teach them to stop and think first about whether it is safe,” said Alla Adamova, principal of the local gymnasium.
The facilitators conducted interactive sessions for children, explaining how to recognize explosive hazards and what actions to take if such objects are found.

“It was interesting to learn about the war and how to protect ourselves. I remembered a lot and will tell my friends and parents,” said Veronika, a student of the gymnasium.
“We are very grateful to the foundation. Live sessions cannot be replaced by videos. The children were excited and immediately began working with the materials. We look forward to future meetings,” added Alla Adamova.

The Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation continues to conduct mine safety sessions in communities where such knowledge is especially needed.
