Kharkiv under fire: providing assistance to those affected
For the second day in a row, Kharkiv has been under enemy shelling. Today, around 10 a.m., the Russians attacked the city with six “Geran-2” type UAVs. According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the Kholodnohirskyi district was targeted. Administrative buildings and a five-story residential building were damaged, two cars caught fire, and another residential building was affected.
Earlier, around 5:20 a.m., the Shevchenkivskyi and Slobidskyi districts of the city were attacked. A dormitory, a multi-story residential building, a supermarket, a café, the territory of a kindergarten, two cars, and a garage were damaged. In total, nearly fifty people were injured.
The rapid response team of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation promptly joined the efforts to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and provide assistance to those affected. The team was also active in Kharkiv the previous day, after the enemy launched an attack with four UAVs on the Shevchenkivskyi and Slobidskyi districts. Yesterday, 36 window frames were boarded up in 12 apartments.
Over the past week, the team conducted 8 missions in 6 settlements — Pisochyn, Zolochiv, Borivske, Savyntsi, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv. In total, 244 window frames and 3 roofs were repaired in 29 households, 2 administrative buildings, and a dormitory.
It should be noted that the Rapid Response Group operates jointly with the Humanitarian Coordination Center and with the support of the partner Diaconia.
