Last week, a Russian attack damaged the warehouse of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation in Mykolaiv.
The warehouse stored humanitarian aid for residents of affected communities in the Mykolaiv region, including food kits, hygiene supplies, and essential items.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time the Foundation’s humanitarian infrastructure has been damaged. Recently, Russian strikes also damaged warehouses in Kharkiv and Sumy. Earlier, the Foundation’s humanitarian trucks in the Kherson region were also damaged. The full extent of the damage and losses is currently being assessed.
Each such incident is not only about damaged buildings or property. It means aid that was intended to reach people who need it.
Attacks on humanitarian facilities and infrastructure that provides assistance to civilians are unacceptable. Humanitarian aid is not a target.
We are already working to restore logistics and replenish lost supplies. Despite the attacks, assistance to people continues.
