Last week, in Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region, the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, in partnership with Medico, held a workshop titled “Creativity That Brings Warmth” for internally displaced women.
During the workshop, participants painted plaster figures by hand, explored their creativity, and created their own unique designs.
These gatherings are about more than just creativity. They provide an opportunity to take a break from everyday worries, reduce tension, connect with others, and experience positive emotions. Through creativity, participants found space for self-expression and emotional recovery.
“At first, I thought I would simply paint a figure, but I became so immersed in the process that I completely forgot about everything around me. It turns out that sometimes you need very little to lift your spirits,” said Ms. Olha.
A total of 10 women took part in the workshop. Two individual consultations were also provided.
It is through such simple moments that support is built — the opportunity to be among others, engage in an activity you enjoy, and, at least for a while, feel warmth and peace.
