A space is operating in Fesky where children aged 3 to 18 can communicate, create, play and receive support when they need it most.
With the support of UNICEF, Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation provides activities for children at the hub. The space combines psychosocial support, individual and group sessions, creative activities and art sessions.
Psychologists and other specialists at the space help children better cope with their emotions, talk about what worries them and find safe ways to express their feelings. During art sessions, this often happens through drawing and creativity — without the need to explain everything in words.
“I like drawing here. When I come to the sessions, I can take my mind off things, spend time with my friends and simply have a good time,” said Alina, one of the hub’s visitors.
Behind every such meeting is an opportunity for a child to feel cared for and supported, while simply spending time in a safe and welcoming environment.
