Social Support for Families with Children in Difficult Life Circumstances

The project is aimed at providing comprehensive social support to families with children who are in difficult life circumstances (DLC). Such families often face loss of housing or employment, single parenting, illnesses, disabilities, or the consequences of war.

The main goal of the project is to help families overcome crisis, protect children’s rights, and ensure access to essential services.

Social support includes:

• Needs assessment – individual work to identify problems and priorities.
  
  
• Support plan – joint development of specific steps with the family to overcome difficulties.
  
  
• Consultations and assistance – information support, guidance, and assistance in interactions with medical, educational, and social institutions.
  
  
• Mobile team visits – regular meetings with families at their place of residence.
  
  
• Coordination of support – referral to other organizations if necessary.
  
  
• Regular monitoring – tracking progress, updating the support plan, maintaining constant communication with the family.
  
  

Who is it for?

• Families with children in crisis situations.
  
  
• Families that lost housing or income due to the war.
  
  
• Large families or single-parent families.
  
  
• Families with serious illnesses or disabilities.
  
  
• Families lacking sufficient community or family support.

Expected results:

• 40 families in DLC will receive ongoing social support.
  
  
• Children will have access to necessary services and protection.
  
  
• Parents will gain tools to overcome difficulties.
  
  
• Risks of isolation and worsening crisis circumstances will be reduced.
