On the night of June 29, Kharkiv once again came under a Russian attack. The strike triggered a large-scale fire. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but due to continuous air raid alerts and the threat of repeated strikes, extinguishing the fire took a considerable amount of time. As a result, the fire spread to the warehouses of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation.
The warehouses stored humanitarian aid packages prepared in cooperation with our partners and donors. Each of these packages represented tangible assistance for people in need.

At present, together with the relevant authorities and our partners, we are working to accurately assess the full extent of the losses.
Oleksii Bezhan, Chairman of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, commented:
"A commission is currently documenting the consequences of the fire. Together with our partners, we are working to address the damage and restore our programmes. This attack is a blatant violation of international law, but the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation will continue its humanitarian mission. I would like to thank everyone for their support. We have always stood by people in need, and we will continue to do so."

Despite the losses, we are not stopping. Our programmes continue, and we remain committed to supporting communities affected by the war.
