We work

The Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, in partnership with UNICEF, is conducting mine risk awareness sessions in communities across the Kharkiv region.

During the sessions, participants learn how to identify potentially dangerous objects, what safety rules to follow, and how to act if they encounter a potential threat.

“We try to support internally displaced people not only materially, but also psychologically. During the session, many participants noted that this knowledge could help protect people from danger. We are sincerely grateful for this important information,” said Iryna, head of a department at an educational institution.

Among the participants was Maria Shevchenko, who evacuated from a village near the border together with her daughter.

“We left because of the constant drone attacks. It was extremely dangerous. Many of our acquaintances and neighbors were killed — civilians. Thank you for coming and explaining how to act correctly. This is truly important for us. Drones are very frightening. I never thought I would have to experience something like this,” said Maria Shevchenko, a session participant.

Such meetings help people better understand risks, develop safe behavior skills, and protect lives.
