Food packages and support for Sumy and Kherson regions

The charitable foundation the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, together with its partner – the United Nations World Food Programme – continues to provide essential supplies to residents of frontline and border communities. In July, our team was actively working in the Sumy and Kherson regions.

Specifically, people in Sumy received 3,300 food packages, while residents of the Kherson territorial community were given 33,292 packages. Each package contains everyday essentials: flour, grains, oil, sugar, canned goods, and more. We also continue to supply bread to the Kherson residents: in July, 239,132 loaves were distributed, along with MRE kits (ready-to-eat meals) — 1,542 kits in total. In Sumy, we work with people affected by military actions — during July, 138 individuals were registered to receive one-time financial assistance.

An equally important area of our work with the WFP is the recently launched institutional feeding project. We operate in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, where 92 institutions have already received food aid packages.
