Evacuation and Aid: Rapid Response Team Operating in the Shelling Zone
The Rapid Response Team of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charitable Foundation continues its work in the region: helping people evacuate from dangerous areas and eliminating the consequences of enemy shelling.
Yesterday, the team evacuated a man and a woman from the village of Husynka in the Kupiansk district. It is becoming increasingly dangerous to remain there, as the community is constantly under fire from Russian forces.
The team also worked in Pisochyn, where a Russian drone recently struck a car service station (STO), causing a fire. Residential buildings were damaged, and eight local residents were injured.
"Together with the Humanitarian Coordination Center, we delivered OSB boards, slate, tarpaulin, and mounting foam to the community. The repair work will be carried out by municipal services, and if they don’t manage in time — we’ll join in," said Denys Hrushka, head of the Rapid Response Team.
In addition, the team assisted in Zolochiv, repairing the roof of a building that had been destroyed during a previous strike.
Last week, the Rapid Response Team also responded to the aftermath of shelling in Izium — they sealed 21 openings in 11 households.
We remind you that the team operates jointly with the Humanitarian Coordination Center and with the support of our partner, Diaconia.
